In my diverse community, there are people who are retirees, but the majority are young middle-class working individuals with children. It is a good community that expresses shared values both in words and actions. Over the years, people have come to know that they can depend upon this community for support in general, or in a time of need.
Savannah is a center of diverse cultural activities offering many opportunities for both citizens and visitors to explore various cultural interests. It is also rich in history. You name it, Savannah's got it.
Economically, this is a working class community that is constantly striving to create a better existence for itself and for future generations. Basically, if one does not work, that person does not survive. There is definitely a need for better paying jobs.
As our population ages, it is very important to address the needs of our senior citizens. While there are many senior services in place, it is easy to see that more needs to be done towards fostering a better existence for those who are the backbones of our communities. As I consider this, it is my hope that Redistricting will not unfairly divide my community.
