My community is made up of people living in the geographical area. We meet each other on the street when out walking. We use Mayfair Park and Henry S.Lindsley Parks. We shop on Colfax, and eat at the Jersey shoppette. We enjoy access to shopping on Colorado Blvd and Cherry Creek and Lowry. We are frustrated by heavy traffic and speeders on 8th Avenue, Monaco, 13th and 14th streets. We are also alarmed by rising crime in the area. We love our diversity.
Can't really say. Mixed community of middle class folk, mostly in smaller houses, some pop-tops, many professionals, a mix of age groups. Mostly white, Jewish and black folk. Mostly Democrats I think but we tolerate our Republican neighbors Lots of dogs. Lots of baby boomers. But lots of families too.
Mostly worried about heavy traffic all through the area.
Need more policing. Crime rates rising. Police not very responsive. Lots of car break ins, bicycle thefts etc Need traffic control! Can hardly turn out onto our street anymore! More need for help for seniors in their homes.
