Community Information

housing diversity education environment affordable

My community is comprised of Utahns that care about inclusion, climate change, and increasing the health outcomes of marginalized people.

My BIPOC/queer community has been in this area for centuries and is concerned about the lack of fair and equitable representation in public policy decisions. T

I live in west capitol, SLC and we experience an unfair amount of SLC air pollution due to the proximity of the oil refineries. We also, have seen a consistent neglect of preserving natural habitats in the area. For example warm springs park lacks the care to be preserved to its minimal integrity standards.

My current state Senator who is located in Davis county never seeks input from my section of his district. This has resulted in him making consistent decisions that do not represent us. In fact, he doesn't even have a fair definition of institutional racism but he represents one of our states largest BIPOC communities Rosepark.
