The people in my community gather at the community garden or the local parks. We also have a monthly community meeting at local pre-school. Nowadays some meetings are online. There is a shopping center that is walkable as well as the local train station. Bike trails are also avaiable.
My community consists of lots of elderly retired people as well as young millenials and middle aged professionals. My community is very diverse and consists of a variety of income levels.
The economic and environmental concerns in my community consists of too much over development of land. Too much density is on the rise in this area with many condo/townhome developments along the way bring more people to the area than the infrastructure can hold. In addition the elderly in my community along with people who hae lived here for a long time will no longer be able to afford to live here due to high taxes and rise in home values and rent.
There is a serious concern of high taxes and property values driving those that have always lived here out because of affordability. There should be something in place so we can all afford to live where we want to live.
