Community Information

housing healthcare diversity crime environment

My community is centered around the 125th Street Corridor in Harlem.

My community was once composed primarily of African Americans transplants from the southern United States. Now, there are significant populations of affluent Asians and whites residing in Harlem.

Once thought of as a bashon of African American culture, Harlem, my dear community, is experiencing gentrification at peak levels. Rents are extremely expensive, forcing many current residents out of their homes.

My community would benefit from more community reinvestment/capital investment by the federal government.
