Community Information

Verrado is a planned community in Buckeye, laying north of the I-10, approximately 25 miles west of downtown Phoenix. According to the Verrado web page, the population of Verrado is 20,905. Verrado was designed to resemble a small, midwestern town, with the community involvement that implies. We have Founder’s Day to commemorate the founding of Verrado back in 2005, and the community sponsors a variety of social events throughout the year that draw significant numbers of people.There are a seemingly large number of churches serving Verrado. Perhaps the most important are Summit Church, Christ Church of the Valley (CCV), and the Refinery. There are two 18-hole golf courses in Verrado which offer memberships to men and women. They are a major attraction in drawing prospective residents to Verrado and are important social meeting places.Verrado also has two community centers, complete with gyms, swimming pools and meeting rooms that are available for clubs and classes.Verrado currently has three restaurants that serve as important meeting places for residents: Ciao grazie, the Verrado Grill and Tempo. Several new restaurants are scheduled to open in the next couple of months, and the commercial area around the newly opened Fry’s Marketplace on Indian School Road promises to become a central meeting place in the coming ye
