The Great Lakes Bay Region, comprised of the cities of Midland, Bay City, and Saginaw and some surrounding communities, has been a recognized COI (Tri-Cities) for many decades but has been working more closely together for everyone's greater economic and cultural interests for the past decade or so. Keeping this area as a COI under the new redistricting effort makes good sense.
