Our neighborhood has a rich history as our community is built on the old Lowry Air Field which became the Lowry Air Force Base in 1947. For two years, starting in 1955 it house the first Air Force Academy before it moved to Colorado Springs. Prior to being an air field it was a sanitarium for TB. We have a number of preserved buildings from the Air Force days including the Eisenhower Chapel.

Our community champions lots of open green space and more housing density to achieve open space.
