Community Information

housing environment affordable

My community is composed of people who gather to exercise, walk their dogs, and socialize in nearby parks like Liberty Park and Sugarhouse Park, and in the foothills and canyons on the east and southeast side of Salt Lake City.

My community appreciates outdoor recreation, a healthy environment, and also a walkable community with nearby shopping and restaurants.

Housing costs in our city have skyrocketed in recent years, along with property taxes. There is a general housing shortage including for rental units. Air pollution, drought, and heat negatively affect quality of life.

The current congressional district lines break up our community. The entire city of Salt Lake City should be in a single district, along with suburbs like Millcreek and Holladay. These areas are a connected community and should be treated as such.
