My community is made up of the local restaurants along Peachtree Road and the walking paths from the Chamblee Rail trail through Keswick Park.
My community exists at the intersection of the Latinx and Asian dominated neighborhoods between Peachtree and Doraville/Buford Highway and the predominantly White neighborhoods in Brookhaven. There is a large community of college age residents due to Oglethorpe University and a large elderly community nearby.
My neighborhood exists immediately next to the Norfolk Chamblee train station and the Dekalb Peachtree Airport which seems to be predominantly for private use.
The area seems to be pretty small compared to the neighborhoods around it. A lot of public services are considered a part of the Brookhaven community and those services rarely make their way over to the streets surrounding our neighborhood. There is a stark difference between Brookhaven and the areas to the east which are considered Chamblee and Doraville in terms of what is maintained by the city.
