Community Information

military ranching white recreation middle class

The grocery stores in my area are mostly Albertson's, Smiths, and I think we have some organic option nearby. There are a mix of charter, religious private, and public k-12 options. There aren't any forms of higher education nearby. There are smaller libraries within my area. We have a variety of large and small public parks within my community. There are quite a few LDS churches in my area. The closest hospital isn't too far and another that is a bit further(but less than 10 minute drive). We have a handful of urgent cares within my neighborhood. I'm not sure if we have any local nonprofits nearby. We only have an average amount of bus stops, it takes a long time to get from place to place.

There are mostly Christian and Mormon places of worship and community members within my neighborhood. My neighbors are on average white, older, military(active and retired), and mostly families. My neighborhood was built in the early 2000's. I am not aware of any particular cultural events in my community.

Most of my neighbors are military, working on the Nellis Air Force Base. We get a lot of helicopters that fly over, making noise. My neighborhood is pretty strict on water conservation, and regulated on other things as well. A little further in my neighborhood there is wildlife (Coyotes and Hawks), we often get Coyote Warnings. Since the neighborhood is so regulated there isn't much litter or illegal dumping.

There is a lack of cultural bonds in my neighborhood. For the most part, I enjoy living in my community.
