Community Information

transportation renewable resources housing healthcare affordable

My community is made up of five contiguous rural counties (Marion, Chattahoochee, Webster, Stewart, and Talbot) that share similar challenges, issues, and characteristics.

Many of the residents of these counties live in poverty, have untreated health issues, lack necessary resources, and do not have adequate internet connection.

The residents of these counties enjoy the “country”/rural lifestyles (affordable property taxes, less traffic, low crime rates, etc.).

These counties need broadband, grocery stores, transportation to employment opportunities, adequate healthcare, and other resources. Therefore, there is a need for representatives that understand the “rural” issues and challenges. We need a representative that lives and resides in this rural community.
