My community is made up of mostly young adults. Most of them are students, or people who have just graduated and they are doing internships. They use the metro as their main form of transportation and they socialize in nearby bars or cafes for gathering and socializing.
The cultural bonds of my community would be the fact that most of the people come from a different country and they were not born here. The majority of the people that I've met have immigrant parents and they speak more than one language.
Since most of the people that I live with are students or newly grads, they're looking for jobs at restaurants and cafes to save up money. Since my neighborhood is midtown, there are a lot of restaurants and cafes which make it convenient for them to work near where they live. Cold weather affects the businesses in a way that they need less staff since they have no outside sitting available.
I think that the need of my community, like any other, is to have a clean neighborhood. Moreover, I would think that people of the same interests would want more opportunities for them to socialize and make friends since most of the people move in alone and they have no one to talk to. Since there is a large portion of the female population, the community would want for the streets to be safe at night.
