Community Information

My community is made up of lower-income families and individuals. We live in duplexes, not houses, within the Gardnerville Ranchos; although there are a few homes right in the middle of one side of my community. Many of us are single parents and/or retired seniors living on a fixed income. Others are young families with young children. The Gardnerville Ranchos are part of the whole of Gardnerville and have easy access to all the same services that they have.

In my opinion, there are three needs for this community. 1) Better street lighting. The street lights are too far apart. 2) They need slower speed limits through here like they do in the older part of Minden. There are a lot of little children playing around here, learning to ride bikes, etc. 3) Additionally, for the whole of the Ranchos, there is no one good, clear bike path for teens to ride their bikes out of here, except on the way-south side of the Ranchos.
