The city of Lowell prides itself in its immigrant history. Since it’s inception, Lowell has welcomed immigrants from all over Europe. The ethnic make up of the city has changed over the years for now most incoming immigrants come from the Region of Latin America and the continent of Africa.

Most undocumented immigrants work outside of their cities of residence due to the irregularity of their jobs.

The Latinx, Black and Asian communities are not homogenous. The individuality within each subgroup and community member should be acknowledged and understood.
