Community Information

transportation housing education environment affordable

My community is made up of people who use the Jordan River Trail for recreation, spend time at Jordan Park, shop at local Latino markets as well as one local chain grocery store. We do not have easy access to the light rail system.

My community is majority Latino and Pacific Islander.

My community is surrounded by three major highways that results in higher air pollution and more cases of asthma. Many people enter our community via the Jordan River Trail while on a bike ride.

The cost of housing has increased dramatically over the past 16 years I have lived in this community. People who have lived here for generations are being priced out and moving out of our community. The result is a younger first time homebuyers, majority of which are white. This is concerning because families can no longer afford to live here.
