My community is in a sub-community HOA called Barrington Manor within the master planned community called Providence. Our boundary streets are Skye Canyon Pky & Ann Rd. We have nearby HOA community room for gathering. There are nearby elementary, middle and high schools within walking distance. We also have parks within Providence that are used. I have not seen public transportation bus stops nearby. I have nearby shopping centers.
The northwest area is a new master planned community in the last 10 years and is very diverse. I am retired however there are all ages in the neighborhood and families.
Economically speaking the area is comprised of working middle class and retired. There are mixed employment and business owners. Environmentally, we are located right against the mountain, as far west as the valley goes. There are a lot of wildlife running through the neighborhood- roadrunners, bunnies, and coyotes, and mountain lions. We are impacted by natural occurrences from the mountain. There is a flight path overhead between Nellis and Creech AFB.
Concerns in the area of the flight path over a residential area; air quality as a result of fires on the mountain. Fire fighters stage at the nearby Centennial HS parking lot. There are no nearby public transit bus stops although there is a main transit center near US 95.
