There is a Smiths, Walmart, and Albertson's in my area. There are more elementary schools than Middle or High Schools in my neighborhood. The Nevada State College and College of Southern NV Henderson campus is nearby. There's at least 3 libraries and about every half a mile there's a park. There are a few bus stops. There is a place of worship every block or so in my area. There's a Salvation Army across the street from my apartment complex. There aren't any hospitals as close as I would like them to be. There is an Urgent Care within a five mile radius of me. There are some community events hosted near the Silver Knights practice arena.

There aren't any museums or galleries nearby. English is the predominant language spoken in my neighborhood. My neighbors are mostly single families from mid-20's to late 30's. On my side of the street the neighborhood is a little older but on the opposite there are neighborhoods that are currently being built or recently built. Waterstreet is a smaller downtown area that is historic and very active. The majority of my neighbors in the apartment complex are Black families. The churches that I notice in my area are mostly Catholic and there is a large Christian academy down the street from me.

Most of my neighbors look to be service workers and construction workers. There are quite a few neighborhood under construction nearby (about 3-4 of them). The roads are decent, off of Boulder HWY there is a water leak that has been an issue for about four months now. They have blocked off that area, but it still hasn't been fixed. I also live near a street that is often used to get to Lake Mead, so there are quite a few visitors that use that road. The smaller streets have trash on the sidewalks and in the bigger lots there are folks that illegally dump.

I would like more focus on cleaning up the trash in my area and the rise in homeless people as well. The homeless folks tend to hang out in the parks.
