transportation housing voting rights education environment

My community encompasses facility at East Carolina University, members of the medical community surrounding Vidant hospital, and the members of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation and the Interfaith Alliance of East Carolina, both of which work to foster accepting faith communities while helping the underserved in our area.

Rivers feature prominently in our area and maintaining that resource for its natural beauty, it's function as a water source, and the tourism it attracts is important. Pollution and debris in the river, and clogging storm drains, is a consistent issue.

Eastern North Carolina is largely rural and community services and access are often lacking. Even our bigger towns don't have the broadband access necessary to function in an increasingly tech dependant world. One of our major needs I more affordable housing, but local developers focus on building high prices college housing, creating an excess of that kind of high prices communal housing while single family living arrangements are space and over priced.
