Community Information

The Art Experience, the Pontiac Creative Arts Center, Pontiac Public Library , Murphy Park, Mattie Hatchett Park, the Oakland County Historical Society, Churches such as Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, M-1 Concourse, Downtown Pontiac, Alleycat Cafe, Smash Kickboxing, Anytime Fitness, Downtown Food Eateries. The community get services like groceries mostly outside of the community. The only food resources are corner stores and a few food marts.

There is a true sense of community where the area is one big family that depends on each other. The area is predominately Black,but there are other nationalities that include the Latino, Whites and the Hmongs. There are a lot of religious groups and a few art centers in the 48342 zip code. The downtown is a business oasis. United Shores is in the heart of 48342 community and Amazon is building on the old Pontiac Silverdome site.
