Community Information

Indigenous homelessness environment flooding low income

In my community there is a few parks, some are currently under construction. A park I used to visit as a kid is currently under construction with very little open. Wetlands National Park is also a big part of my community; it needs to be taken care of better. There is a few bus stops around so it is pretty accessible. There is a WIC center located nearby as well as a behavioral health center. There is a library located in my community as well.

My community is largely "Latino" but it is also racially diverse.

Largely low income, but there is a also communities in this area that are upper middle class. There is also a houseless community in this community. Flash flooding is a really big problem. A lot of main streets get flooded at their access points into communities. There's a not a lot of urgent cares that are 24/7. Closest hospital is a private hospital doesnt accept all insurance.

Better resources for the houseless and low income communities. Better education for children, More healthcare access. There is a need for more drainage points. Better care for the fires that break out at Wetlands. Nasty sewer smell sometimes lingers.
