This two communities are 5 minutes away. They share the same language, religions and ethnicity. The community visits the same health center for health care. Supermarket where a lot of different poc communities shop This latino community has grown in the last 10 years. Chicopee has around 7% latino. people of color started to move to this community and becoming homeowners for the last 10 years.
Holyoke has the biggest latino community in Western Mass, Chicopee has a growing latino community in the area that borders with South Holyoke. The majority of the immigrants here are from the Caribbean and age approximately 30-45 years old. Many Catholic churches; lots of Latinx moving here and building communities; growing poc community in general; 4A has Latinx; Chicopee has a big Russian community; Chicopee Falls is mostly African American; middle/working class People in this areas are not political motivated. don't feel the need to engage in any race due to not be or feel represented. or feeling that no matter what they do it won't change things.
There's a big Low income community that lives at public housing. The Latino working class from NYC and other State are moving and buying houses in this areas.
