My community is a liberal pocket in Utah. Many of us are Democrats and we feel that our voices are constantly silenced and dismissed. We want our voices to be heard and our votes to count. That’s democracy.
My community is located near the foothills. People in my community want to preserve our environment. We want to lower pollution and combat climate change to preserve our natural environment.
My community should be kept with downtown Salt Lake City, the university of Utah, avenues and sugar house, which are also within Salt Lake City proper. We live in Salt Lake City yet our representative is not from Salt Lake City. Since SLC is the biggest city in Utah, we need our own representative that represents SLC interests.
