My community tends to socialise in downtown Manitowoc including watching sports at the various bars and walks by the lakefront.

My community is largely German American or Irish American in origin, albeit with an increasing hispanic population also.

There is a diverse range of employment but largely government/administrative and manufacturing I would say.

In general Manitowoc belongs in a district with Sheboygan as a nearby lakeshore town with similar interests and culture. We also feel a strong connection with Green Bay. But we have less of a common identity with the fox valley, lake winnebago area and certainly points west.
