While there is one larger hospital in my community many also travel to the major centers in the county. This is a primarily residential community with the need for more local gathering places such as parks, cafes, and bars. Public transportation in the community is limited as it is more affluent with most residents owning their own transportation. This makes getting to employment centers more difficult for those with no transportation or those who would prefer mass transit options.

My community is a mix of elderly, long-time mostly white residents and diverse, younger-first time home buyers. As the older generations of Millcreek pass away it is becoming more and more similar to the east side of Salt Lake city in demographics, needs, and wants. It is an affluent area that is quickly becoming more diverse than in previous decades. I have noticed more push back from older residents when it comes to topics like affordable housing, including safe ADUs while younger residents see the need for such being as close as we are to the employment major centers of SLC.

Many of my neighbors are either retired or employed in SLC. This community is primarily residential with very few working within the immediate area. I have noticed that many in my community hold values similar to those in Salt Lake City but were not able to afford or secure housing there. Environmental issues here are similar to those across the Wasatch front with the primary concerns being water conservation and access to renewable energy.

With the growth and change in demographics of my community over the past decade I think it is very important to look at what the people want instead of what the political parties want. We clearly have a growing democratic demographic that is mostly un-represented due to district boarders. My community would like to see more equity in the redistricting efforts so that ALL voices can be heard.
