My community is made of people who eat at diverse restaurants, Sunday street markets, libraries, parks, public transport (train), local stores.
My community has a diverse population with a large representation of South Asians, particularly from India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, and Latin Americans, especially from Colombia, Ecuador, and Mexico. Other groups include Tibetans, Nepalese, and a significant white population. There's every religion almost, from Buddhist to Muslims and Christians. Age group range is wide. It is typically known as an immigration heavy and culturally diverse neighborhood. A lot of people are non citizens in this community.
My community is located a huge restaurant industry that booms due to the diverse cultures. Residents are employed in schools, social work, offices, etc. The concerns might be parking, increasing rent due to population, bars and alcoholism.
Politicians should know that that there are a lot of families living in the community and would benefit from the restriction of bars and alcohol stores. Needs of the community are better parking, safety, lower rent, better traffic control. It's a beautiful community, just needs better security (less bars and clubs) and more traffic control.
