Community Information

My community leans very heavily Democratic, as with the majority of Salt Lake City proper residents, yet we get grouped with farmers and ranchers in the south and central Utah who don’t share same concerns or resources. Our group is represented by someone in Congress who won’t even give us a town hall, but does to the farmers/ranchers further south. We want to be represented by someone who represents US.

My community is an urban community, living in close neighborhoods. We know our neighbors, and share similar political, economical and cultural interests.

My community is located near Research Park and Emigration Canyon. We are outdoor enthusiasts; hikers and bikers, parents and dog owners, who appreciate the many gifts we have in our backyards. We want to preserve what’s left of our open space, not develop every square inch possible.

My community is located near Research Park and Emigration Canyon. We are outdoor enthusiasts; hikers and bikers, parents and dog owners, who appreciate the many gifts we have in our backyards. We are, however, continuing to get more and more trapped in our neighborhood by the traffic pouring into the city north on Foothill Drive into the U, Research Park, and accessing downtown each morning and the reverse each day at 5pm. They cut through our neighborhoods to try to get out of the main flow of traffic, often missing stop signs as we walk dogs and kids to school bus stops. We love our area, but the traffic is getting unbearable yet the UofU is planning on extensive growth.
