My community in East Harlem is a mix of a small business and corporate center serving a mostly latino and black population. Major streets are 116th and 125th, alongside the shopping center on 117th with a Target, Costco, Marshall's, Burlington, and Planet Fitness.
My community in East Harlem has a big population of first and second generation Puerto Rican, Dominican, Cuban and Mexican population. East 116th has a large amount of Mexican ran business and is generally the street that is closed off for festivity days. There is a clinic on 123rd that also closes off the street for events that tie in the cultural day with a focus on healthcare access.
