Community Needs and Concerns
We need more healthy food options--even in our Kroger, the produce is generally older/less fresh than in Krogers that are more intern, like the Glenwood Kroger and the Ponce de Leon Kroger. We also need more activities--our movie theater closed some years ago, reopened briefly, and closed again, which is a travesty to me with our close proximity to Tyler Perry Studios. We also need sidewalks gravely, particularly in areas between Marta bus stops so that residents don't have to walk in the street from their apartment complex to the bus stop.

Downtown making is being affected by gentrification Mercer state universities buying up a butt load of land year after year and converting it into their own private chains and establishment such as the lofts in different areas of town. Our police system is lazy they only pursue cases that they know we’re easy wins or if you’re obviously doing something wrong but as far as general peacekeeping there is not much of a presence. Community Activities and Services
The Dekalb public libraries and schools are invaluable resources in our community. Tucker Parks, such as Henderson, Kelley Cofer, Johns Homestead, and then new parks in Smoke Rise are also important gathering places.
Economic or Environmental Interests
Like other parts of Georgia, our area has been used frequently by the film industry. Most local candidates are interested in remaining competitive for these projects. Many of our schools qualify for free lunch and children are living in multi-generational households. Economic and community support for children, families, and elders is of importance in this area.I consider our community as one of the "inner suburbs," which is also seeing a lot of new development. New housing and commercial districts are making significant (negative) environmental impact on our streams and lakes.
Community Needs and Concerns
Our area is spread out and surrounded and connected by several large arteries, including I-85 and I-285 and Hwy 78. Our connectivity creates inherent relationships to other parts of Atlanta -- Doraville, Brookhaven, Chamblee, Stone Mountain, Decatur, etc. We are constantly working, patronizing, and supporting businesses and communities along the same major corridors and have a vested interest in making sure decisions support the whole community.

Cultural or Historical Interests
Our community is a mix of generations, and is pretty diverse, which is a wonderful thing. We have students from all over the world, and they bring all different levels of income, so having mixed income housing is really important.
Community Activities and Services
My community is made up of people who live between North Druid Hills and North Decatur roads. We love walking on the P.A.T.H. that joins Medlock Park to Mason Mills Park and beyond. We are members of Mason Mill library. We love walking/running/playing on and near Emory's campus. We eat dinners and play in City of Decatur. Our health care all happens on Winn Way. The kids in our neighborhood all go to Fernbank Elementary School and Druid Hills middle and high school.
Economic or Environmental Interests
Our kids love to play in the streams near our homes - it is vital that those waterways stay clean. And that pollutants don't wash down from other places, even if they are far away. We also love our swimming pool and want to see it open more often.
Community Needs and Concerns
We need more public transit - it is almost impossible to get anywhere from my home using public transportation unless you are willing to walk almost a mile. We want to stay connected to our Emory community, to small business in our area, including restaurants. We need updates to our parks and swimming pool.

Community Activities and Services
My community is made up of families who attend the Hindu temple right across the street and started the Indian American Cultural Association a few decades ago. We gather there to honor our faith, our elders, our children, etc.
Economic or Environmental Interests
My community is home to the silver comet trail where people from all over GA come to ride their bikes, walk with their families, and take respite from their daily lives. We take care of that trail(it backs up to my backyard). We are impacted by the Synergenics factory that is polluting our air and increase our communities likelihood to get cancer.
Community Needs and Concerns
My community is already divided into two house districts, one house rep fights for our values and wants a safe and healthy city for us all. The other represents QAnon and spreads misinformation about health. We deserve to have two representatives that create a more balanced representation of Smyrna, two folks who can work together to advocate for the people who voted and didn't vote for them.
