Port Orchard
Kitsap County Mapping Drive
Danger: REPORT May 25, 2021
Cultural or Historical Interests
We are a diverse group with numerous bonds - arts, politics, outdoors (hiking, kayaking, biking) and social
Community Activities and Services
My community is downtown Port Orchard, Ollalla, Burley Glenwood and Gig Harbor
Economic or Environmental Interests
Many of our residents work for the local school district and the Bremerton shipyard. Many are also retired Navy.
Community Needs and Concerns
We need to keep our district in a solid, reasonable shape--neither oddly splayed into the west side of Bremerton nor over the Hwy 16 bridge into Tacoma. Contiguous and easy for citizens to access all the Town Halls of our State Representatives.

Danger: REPORT April 7, 2021
Community Activities and Services
My community of interest is full-time residents of the San Juan Islands and other remote island communities in WA that use and depend on the WFS ferry system.
Community Needs and Concerns
Ferry use and maintenance with special focus on the remote resident communities and not simply the tourists and the tourism season and sector.

Clark County Mapping Drive
Danger: REPORT March 7, 2021
Population: 2856
Community Activities and Services
we live in a rural area with urban nearby (restaurants, hospitals, etc). Volunteering and community service is strong among the people I know.
Economic or Environmental Interests
Grown, preventing sprawl, protecting agriculture lands, protecting fish. Also concerned that we address homelessness and people being priced out of the area.
Community Needs and Concerns
I live in a district whose shape and size is such that we have little in common. You can go from one end to the other driving through 2 other LDs. The closest town is split between 2 districts

POWHAT
WA State Mapping Drive
Danger: REPORT Feb. 27, 2021
Population: 12822
Cultural or Historical Interests
My neighborhood is known and the gayborhood, but that has been changing as the area has become more expensive to live. It has always been a place to gather.
Community Activities and Services
My community is made up of the people who live around me. It's a dense neighborhood full of restaurants, bars, schools, parks, social services, businesses, and lots of multi-story buildings full of families.
Economic or Environmental Interests
I primarily work in entertainment and cultural organizations. The amount of cars on the road make it difficult to get around on transit and makes the air more polluted.
Community Needs and Concerns
My community has many people who are living in supportive housing, many former incarcerated among them. I think this population should be kept together, as many need the same kinds of services.

Point Edwards community
Snohomish County Mapping Drive
Danger: REPORT Feb. 19, 2021
Population: 11000
Cultural or Historical Interests
My community is a suburban extension to Everett and Seattle and therefore has attracted working families and retired persons. This area was used as source of food for indigenous Salish tribes before the white Europeans settled by the water to set up logging and mills about 150 years ago. Whites predominated until transportation and employment opportunities allowed access to other population groups which still represent minority percentages over the last 30 years.
Community Activities and Services
I am within walking distance to downtown Edmonds and ferries, railroads, buses, fire and police departments, parks, library, healthcare, restaurants, tourist/gift stores, church, beaches, and a small grocery store limited to non perishable goods.
Economic or Environmental Interests
I live on a critical slope over railroad tracks and by a hazardous chemical clean up site overlooking a marsh.
Community Needs and Concerns
Edmonds has grown toward the transportation systems: I5 and Highway 99. These areas do not have the same sense of community as does downtown Edmonds. Therefore, they are neglected as is shown by higher homeless and crime statistics. Edmonds used to be a sleepy little town but now competition for housing has made it difficult for a diversified community of renters and home owners. Folks are being priced out of their homes due to higher property taxes or purchase prices or rental rates.
