Cultural or Historical Interests
My community is not a very diverse community. In order to have a diverse worship service my community extends into the City of Wilmington. My community does have museums that are close by, the Natural History Museum was a favorite for my children when they were young. But the opening of the Wilmington Children's Museum a few years ago also extends my community into Wilmington to provide that experience.
Community Activities and Services
My community gathers in Greenville on Rte 52 where there are cafes and restaurants. My community also gathers in Hockessin where at the Hockessin Athletic Club for exercise classes, youth activities and summer swim gatherings. My community has a public school system that is accessible via bussing, but my community also has multiple private schools that provide alternative educational opportunities for our children.
Economic or Environmental Interests
My community is a suburban community surrounded my trees and nature. Burying the power lines in my community would be so beneficial as the slightest wind and our power goes out.
Community Needs and Concerns
My community requires a car to reach a major supermarket. There is currently a plan for a new supermarket within our area, but until then we have to travel to Hockessin, Newport, Wilmington and Rte 202.

Economic or Environmental Interests
Millsboro is a growing area with need for a better integration of outlying areas, especially with the Millsboro bypass and diverse population and income range. A legislative district would go a long way to help with tying the area and residents together.
Community Needs and Concerns
While this is a growing area, it is and will continue to be confronted with environmental problems and sea-level rise and related issues. Having a legislator at the table in Dover would go a long way to help with getting resources or at least the attention these problems require.

Economic or Environmental Interests
The Milton and Harbeson areas are linked not just by zip code but economic growth and agriculture. Environmentally, they are also linked by virtue of water. The creeks south of Milton, including the Beaverdam Creek, feeding into the Broadkill River.
Community Needs and Concerns
Concerns exists regarding water pollution, especially from the Allen Harim Chicken plant on the Milton area. Other concerns exist regarding growing residential development south of Milton and around Harbeson but lack of supporting roads and other infrastructure. Also, there will be growing pressure for medical facilities, retail, and other things that need to be considered. These areas are growing toward each other and so they should be tied politically by legislative district (and council district) lines.

Sept. 20, 2021
Population: 15454
Cultural or Historical Interests
My community extends into Wilmington for church services due to lack of diversity in the churches closer to my home. However to show this on my map would create too large of a community so I will not include it, but noting it here.
Community Activities and Services
My community has a mixture of public and private school families. The private school my children attend is just a mile further away from the feeder public high school which extends my community into the City of Wimington. There is a private school across the street from me which is not in my same representative district. I exercise at Hockessin Athletic Club(HAC) in Hockessin which is surrounded by independently owned restaurants, gas stations, specialty markets, garden centers and Lantana Shopping Center which has a large supermarket and other shops and restaurants. My community also shops on Rte 52 that also has independently owned shops and restaurants.
Economic or Environmental Interests
My community has a lot of trees and while within some developments electrical lines are buried, the main back roads have above ground electrical lines that are vulnerable to falling trees/branches from a mild thunder/wind storm to a major tornado or hurricane. Last summer we had two tornadoes that ran though our area that cause power outages for days and roads closed.
Community Needs and Concerns
My community requires a car to reach a major supermarket. There is currently a plan for a new supermarket within our area, but until then we have to travel to Hockessin, Newport, and North Wilmington.

Cultural or Historical Interests
There is a large LGBT community that lives largely in coastal Sussex, but as you move west, the climate is less welcoming. As a member of that community, I feel comfortable in the areas in which I live, but less so as I move inland. We also have a very large number of "transplants" from major urban areas, such as DC, Baltimore, and Philly, who live in coastal Sussex, and many of us share a professional background that makes us adhere as a community of interest. It's more urban in the coastal area and less rural -- a huge cultural split.
Community Activities and Services
My community is the area in which everyone I know spends their time, where we workout, eat, attend events, listen to music, and go to church.
Economic or Environmental Interests
Those of us who live in coastal Sussex have a shared set of interests in terms of environmental concerns and also the tourism industry. These issues are not shared by communities not relatively near the shore.
Community Needs and Concerns
In coastal Sussex, we share a concern about unchecked development, sea level rise, and lack of affordable housing.

Community Needs and Concerns
Keep the community in the district. I live in Calvarese Farms, There are two adjacent communities which share the same access roads: Stone Mill and Governors Field. It is critical that we remain together due to access issues and the fact that we are, in essence, on the same footprint of land. What impacts one community, impacts all three communities.Overall, this District is demographically and economically diverse. That makes it a good, rich environment in which to raise children and to learn from people from different cultures. Neighbors get along. Two concerns that need to be addressed: (1) traffic backup caused by Chick-fil-A; (2) fence barrier needed by Bear Concrete
